At Underground Slate, we believe great stories deserve to be seen, regardless of budget, industry connections, or traditional gatekeepers.
Founded in 2025, Underground Slate is an independent distribution company dedicated to championing bold, original storytelling, enabling filmmakers connect their work with wider audiences.
Since opening our doors, we have successfully delivered cinema releases for five independent titles, bringing filmmakers' work to the big screen and giving these independent stories the opportunity to reach real cinema audiences.
For a young independent distributor, delivering five theatrical releases is an important milestone and reflects what Underground Slate was created to do: turn ambitious independent projects into genuine distribution opportunities.

Founded by Gabriel Wetz and Tomasz Witkowski, Underground Slate brings together over 40 years of experience in film, television, technology and media.
We've worked with major companies and know the industry from the inside. But we've also seen incredible filmmakers struggle to get noticed, great stories go unseen and independent voices get lost.
We believe independent filmmaking deserves better.
That's why we created Underground Slate. UGS TV is not just another streaming platform, but a home for independent film, where creators keep ownership, stories find audiences and talent gets a real chance.
We want to connect filmmakers, festivals, universities and audiences, building a community where everyone feels welcome, supported and inspired.
